In addition to the information available on this website (which is enhanced and updated on a regular basis), we offer the following services:

Service Description
Individual, Confidential Counseling Meet with a PhD counselor to discuss the academic job search and the widening range of career options for PhDs.
Workshops & Presentations A broad array of workshops and presentations expressly designed to assist all graduate students and PhDs interested in careers within and outside of academia. Grad students are also eligible to attend Career Center events aimed at the undergraduate population as well.

To view complete details of upcoming workshops and presentations and reserve your slot; login to Callisto, click on the Events tab on the top menu, select "Career Center Programs and Workshops" and search for "Graduate Student & PhD Programs".
Career Fairs & Employer Info Sessions Hundreds of business, government, and nonprofit employers visit the Berkeley campus each year, and many are interested candidates with advanced degrees. Some Career Fairs and Info Sessions are for graduate students & PhDs only.

These events can be found via the Events tab on your Callisto desktop top menu. Select "Employer Information Sessions," and click on the "MS/PhD Information Session" option found on the "Info Session Type" drop-down menu under the Graduate Students & PhDs category.
CareerMail If you want to receive timely updates and information about opportunities and events designed specifically for graduate students and PhDs, sign up for CareerMail. To do so, register or login to Callisto and on your profile select one of the two PhD specific options (PhDs in the Sciences/Eng or PhDs in Hum/Soc Sci). You may also sign up for one or more of the industry-oriented lists (e.g., business, Environmental, or Sciences Biological & Physical).
The Letter Service Online Compiles and sends out letters of recommendation files.
The Information Lab Access to 8 computer workstations, and extensive resources on careers, the job search, and employers.
CalJobs Listings Online listings of part-time, full-time and temporary jobs exclusively for Cal undergraduate and graduate students. Upon graduation, PhDs can maintain access by purchasing an Alumni Advantage membership.
On-Campus Recruiting Over 500 employers annually conduct 15,000 interviews on-campus for full-time and summer positions through this web-based recruiting system. Graduate students and PhD Alumni members are eligible and there is no longer a recruiting fee for this service.
